Reflection from One New Planet's Second Element Gathering
It’s hard to put into words what happened at Wter My Blood – but if you were there, you know. And if you weren’t…well, this is your sign to make sure you don’t miss the next one.
Held at the cozy yet otherworldly TAD Kunstbar, the second edition of One New Planet’s elemental event series was nothing short of magical. This night was all about flow, transformation, and connection- celebrating water not just as an element, but as a sacred part of who we are.
From the moment the doors opened, you could feel it: this wasn’t your typical party. The space was alive- light instalations rippled like waves on the walls, aromatic spices wafted from the chai bar, and soft, intentional energy welcomed every soul walking in. People arrived dressed in flowing fabrics, glowing in blue and silver, with eyes wide open to the journey ahead.
A Ritual Opening, a Deep Journey
We began by setting intentions. Sajad Rahmani (aka Baba Asia), our charismatic MC and spiritual mischief-maker, led us through a meditative opening that invited us to ask: ” How do I cleanse my waters? How do I calm them?”
And with that, we flowed headfirst into the sonic river.
The lineup was a deep, textured wave of sound that carried us through the night. Paul White took us on a rhythmic, tribal journey- elevating the dancefloor into something primal, communal, almost ancestral. Ashkan ONP blended mystical Middle Eastern rhythms with hypnotic beats that vibrated in your chest and echoed through your spine. Di.Capa, known for his cerebral deep techno, gave us a taste of something fresh and unrealised from his new project with Ashkan ONP: Derbeki- an 18-minute sound adyssey that had people dancing with eyes closed and hearts wide open. Side Liner brought the night into another dimention with lush, ambient-infused electronic waves thet washed over us like dreams.
Beyond the Music: A Multisensory Playground
But this event wasn’t just about the music-it was an ecosystem of art, movement, and presence. The Marketplace of Flow was a mini festival itself:
- Wilder Kitchen nourished our bodies with earthy, vegan dishes made with intention.
- Normandic Chai served spiced warmth and soulful conversations.
- We relaxed into massages, expressed ourseves through mandala coloring, or stood on sadhu board (MiMi wood art)– feeling the meditative power of preassure and breath grounding us in the movement.
The Gong & Breath Healing Journey guided by Hale Tasli Have invited us to release, surrender, and recalibrate. Meanwhile, visual artist MonkeyHill lit the walls with improvised projections that felt like moving water, like dreams made visible.
And then there was the Trolldom showcase-mesmerized videos of live performances in hidden corners of Norwegian nature. It was a reminder that the same flow we felt inside the space also runs through fjords, caves, forests-and through us.
Landing Gently in the Waters
As the clock neared 2:30 a.m., the energy softened. We gathered again, this time on the floor-sitting, laying, cuddling. Instruments like Persian daf and handpan filled the air. Baba Asia returned for a closing ritual that left many of us in tears or silent awe. It wasn’t a party ending- it was a collective landing, a return home to ourselves and each other.
What We Felt Was Real
Water My Blood wasn’t just event. It was a space to remember who we are when we let go. When we dance without performing. When we allow sound, sensation, and each other to move us.
These are the kinds of nights that stay in your body long after the music stops.
To everyone who came, co- created, or held space- Thank You.
And to those who feel tha call to join: we’re just getting started.
Stay tuned for the next element gathering. You’ll want to be there.
One New Planet – where community, consciousness, and dance collide.
